Animoto allows you to create fabulous videos by setting your photos to music. There is NO need for expensive equipment or software. The on-line application is fun and easy to use and allows you infinite levels of creativity.

The free option allows you to create a 30 second video that is branded with the Animoto logo. To create longer and hi-resolution videos you can choose one of the paid options. Which range from a one time one-video purchase to several annual options.
The PRO option gives you over 1000 music choices. additional style choices and UNBRANDED commercial usage. You will need the PRO choice if you plan on reselling videos and DVDs. Check it out here.
When I first ran across the Animoto website and started exploring the possibilities, I realized that I had actually watched a DVD that was created using Animoto. A month after a friend’s wedding, the bride showed a group of us her “wedding video.” After creating my own little practice video, I realized that the wedding DVD was created using Animoto.
I asked my friend for the details. The photographer sold her 20 15 minute DVD’s for an extra cost of $250. She was ecstatic with the results and gave Mom, Dad, the bride’s maids etc. the DVD as a gift. She said additional DVD’s would cost $5.00 per.
After seeing how easy it is to produce and duplicate the videos, I came to the conclusion that this is a VERY GOOD profit point for the photographer!
To create a video, you should first create a file (on your computer, Flikr, and others) with your photos. Next, choose a style, choose music and add text, if you want it. Finally, click the create button and walk away from your computer. When you return your video will be ready.
On my first try, it took me approximately 30 minutes to choose my “photos.” I spent a good chunk of that time choosing the music I wanted.
For my second and subsequent videos, I first created a couple of graphic images in photoshop, then I picked the music and the style. Once I knew what I was doing, it took less than 5 minutes to create my videos.
